The Microbrand Watches group was launched in 2014 and is dedicated to building a family of individuals who have a passion for microbrand watches. At the time of this collaboration, it had over 23,000 members. As of 2025, it has grown to over 43,000 members who actively engage and share their love of microbrand watches with one another.

We partnered up with the Microbrand Watches group to create a watch that commemorated this notion, the Maelstrom MBW Edition.

The Maelstrom MBW Edition’s colorway was chosen by the Microbrand Watches group community (3 choose 1), and the burgundy colorway was selected.

We worked with the Microbrand Watches team to design a caseback that we felt would perfectly symbolize our partnership. At its core, it features the group’s logo, the Greek letter μ (mu), encased within a watch case, seamlessly blending with the dynamic energy of the Maelstrom name.

The Maelstrom MBW Edition was numbered and limited to 100 pieces. It was available exclusively for members of the Microbrand Watches Facebook group, and launched on 15 October 2021, 10pm GMT +8.

Kids Kicking Cancer, Canada

We donated 10% of all sales proceeds to Kids Kicking Cancer (KKC) Canada. KKC is a global organization dedicated to lowering the pain of children through martial arts as a therapy. As of the time of the project, they empowered over 5,000 children in 48 hospitals In 5 countries.
