MAELSTROM MBW EDITION
The Microbrand Watches group was launched in 2014 and is dedicated to building a family of
individuals who have a passion for microbrand watches. To date, it has grown to over 23,000 members who actively engage and share their love of microbrand watches with one another.
This year, the Microbrand Watches group and Mitch Mason Watches partner together to create a watch that commemorates this notion, the Maelstrom MBW Edition.
The Maelstrom MBW Edition will be numbered and limited to 100 pieces. It is available exclusively for members of the Microbrand Watches Facebook group.

KIDS KICKING CANCER CANADA
Microbrand Watches Group and Mitch Mason Watches will donate 10% of all sales proceeds to Kids Kicking Cancer (KKC) Canada. The Mitch Mason Maelstrom is designed and built to be a valiant and versatile Companion. It is a contemporary interpretation of vintage Super Compressor Dive watches. It sports an automatic movement, a 300m water resistance with Dual screw-down crowns, and a double-domed sapphire crystal boasting 10 layers of anti-reflective coating.
UNWAVERING GRIT
The Mitch Mason Maelstrom is designed and built to be a valiant and versatile Companion. It is a contemporary interpretation of vintage Super Compressor Dive watches.
The internal rotating bezel sports a second time-zone function, which makes it extremely versatile for modern use. Being located under the watch crystal, apart from being permanently protected, it gives the watch a sense of depth and texture while maintaining an impressive 300m water resistance.
BEAUTY IN SYMMETRY
The dial of the Maelstrom is designed to be clean and highly legible. It retains Mitch Mason's signature dial profile, with elongated cardinal hour markers and sandwiched 12, 3 and 6 hour numerals. The dial sports a sunburst effect that dances in different lighting conditions.
The primary crown and 9 o’clock numeral on the dial incorporate the Microbrand Watches group logo. This logo cleverly deconstructs Microbrand Watches into a watch case with a symbol of the micro prefix (µ) of the metric system, from the Greek alphabet.
The date window is perfectly positioned on the dial, with date wheels color matched. With such a seamless integration, the date complication is only noticeable when required.
